Our team of dedicated general practitioners, allied health and nursing staff work together to provide clinical care to help meet the varying needs of our patients.
There is a mix of experienced doctors who have worked in Lismore for decades and more recently graduated doctors.
We conduct regular continuing medical education meetings for clinical staff and are involved with training medical students and GP registrars.
All of our doctors deal with all general practice issues and amongst our doctors are doctors with extra experience in womens health, sports medicine, the health of older persons and of children, skin and mental health.
We have provided medical care to the community continuously for over 100 years. If your usual doctor is on leave or retires for example, we have a large group of doctors that you can carry on with, ensuring continuity of care.

I am interested in all aspects of General Practice. I worked in Sydney and several regional towns prior to coming to Lismore in 1987. My family and myself are very much attached to all that Lismore has to offer, including excellent education, health services and sporting facilities. A growing town amongst beautiful fertile rolling hills, rainforests, diverse rural and arts culture, and so close to a spectacular coast.

I have worked in Lismore since 1979 when I started practice with John and Poppy Rawle.
I am a keen sports person enjoying surfing , kitesurfing and running with the Ballina Club on Sunday morning in winter at Shelley beach.
I enjoy the broad range of medicine that general practice offers.
I was born in Ryde and attended Sydney University. I spent my student years at Concord Repat Hospital and my internship at Royal North Shore Hospital where Drs Townsend, Curtin and Graham were senior colleagues.
I was a keen rugby union player initially with West Ryde and then with Eastwood subdistrict sides. I trained in swimming twice daily with firstly Forbes and Ursula Carlisle at age 8 at Ryde and then Bruce McDonald at Eastwood Epping where Shane Gould was one of the squad for a short time. I also was a keen runner at school but that ability left me once I left school. I did a term mid year 1979 at Lismore Base Hospital where I met Dr Rawle so I returned to join his general practice
I planned to stay for only a short time as due to the attraction of Lennox Point, but I met my wife and stayed. All my 3 kids were born at Lismore Base Hospital as well as my 1st granddaughter.
